Examples

• Während der Woche arbeite ich viel. — During the week I work a lot.
• Statt des Urlaubs bleibe ich zu Hause. — Instead of going on holiday, I'm staying at home.

Tip: die Woche is feminine: die → der. der Urlaub is masculine: der → des, and the noun adds -s.
